Your High School Story:

Though I started out in division 101 as an honor student, majoring in Green Grille attendance changed my status quickly. Rebelling against physical fitness, I decided to enter ROTC. Wrong place for a rebel but I survived. Basically, I was an intelligent, lazy smart-ass. As a result, I left Austin on 1965 received my GED and joined the Navy.

Who did you have a crush on while in High School? And Why? Did you ever date him/her?

Linda Zaba, never dated her though.

Who was your favorite teacher/s and why?

No teacher, Nellie O'Mara, the counselor, saw potential on me but just couldn't get me to discipline myself to reach it.

What teacher/s did you dislike and why?

Ms. Doheny. Felt she had it on for me. On retrospect, I got what I deserved. She gave my brother a rough time during his first marking period because she anticipated he'd be the same as me. He did get by on his own merit though. Years later, I read her obituary and was stunned by her accomplishments and how I so misjudged her.

Working stage crew for The Man Who Came To Dinner production.

Your Elementary School Story:

Attended from kindergarten through 8th grade and actually managed to get a diploma.
Was really surprised to learn that our 7th grade teacher, Lucy Ryan, was the aunt of Bob Newhart.

What have you been up to since you graduated from High School?

After retiring from the Navy, I've done a multitude of different things. I worked at highland superstores for a few years, done manual labor, worked in a rendering plant, worked in one clinical and one reference laboratory and worked for temp agencies.
Thank goodness for retirement.
