Fine man..fun coach..he came to my home as a surprise birthday party just before I returned to Germany to put in 2 more yrs.My cool dad had called coach.Obviously he made my 19th birthday a memorable one.

My brother also swam for Austin and I had the pleasure of knowing Coach a long time since Ken was 7 yrs ahead of me.....Joe was always "on the ball" and  a fun man to hang with and listen  to him yell on my flip turns :What are you doin MacGregor sippin coffee on your turns?...Meaning mine needed improvement!

RIP Coach

I remember Coach Risily as a no nonsense Coach/Teacher. I did not have him as a Coach in phys ed, however he did act as a substitute for one of my classes...I can't remember which at the moment. He said something as a warning to all of us in the class I will never forget. On the subject of the infamous Green Grill, where many a classmate congregated in the morning before class....he said "I know most of you hang out at that sespool of sin whenever you can, just be aware that we Coaches are also aware!"

What a guy! I will never forget him.
